You are spoilt for choice in Bangkok, this is why you need some clues to find the perfect one. Depending on your budget and wishes, we made a selection of our very favorite rooftops to help you making the right choice between all of them.

The higher it is, the higher the price is going to be for a cocktail at the top of the world… but be prepared for an unforgettable view.

Our special tip: Sunset is the best moment to come in, to enjoy a fantastic view.

Don’t forget: Most of the time, a dress code is to be respected, generally a casual chic outfit. Avoid sandals, sneakers, and beachwear, or you might not be admitted within the bar.



Skybar is undoubtedly the most famous rooftop in Bangkok with its restaurant Sirocco, thanks to the film Hangover 2. One of the key scene was shot there, and a cocktail was even called after it (The Hangovertiny). Located on the 63rd floor of the Lubua Tower, this rooftop offers you a panoramic view over Bangkok and the Chao Phraya river.

Consequently, cocktails are especially expensive (590 baht as a minimum), but the service is exceptional.

Don’t even think wearing a short or flip flops if you expect going upstairs, a decent outfit is required.

How to get there?



Skybar’s serious competitor is located at the top of Banyan Tree Hotel, in Silom. This long and superp rooftop offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city, with a high-end menu (3000 baht per person for a dinner). We warmly recommend you the Vertigo Sunset, our favorite cocktail!

Exclusively outdoors, don’t forget to watch whether forecast before planning to go.

Avoid a too casual outfit for sure.

What time: From 5pm to midnight

How to get there?



At the top of the Marriott, it offers a panoramic view of Bangkok. Enjoy every night tapas, cocktails (320 baht), beers (170 baht), a good selection of wines but also a DJ. Casual atmosphere, and fantastic view. Considered as the best bar in Sukhumvit. Definitely one of our favorite… Hospitality of the staff and interesting prices are especially appreciated.

Easy access from Thong Lo BTS, only 2 minutes away.

What time: From 5pm to 1am

How to get there?



Located in Silom Sofitel, on floor 29, it is not as impressive as the first ones. Don’t get us wrong, it remains fantastic, with a unique view over Lumpini Park. You’ll love the cocktails and wines menu. There is also a gastronomic restaurant inside, behind a large bay window.

If you are a jazz lover, you have to enjoy their Saturday night concerts!

How to get there?



A beautiful 180° view over Bangkok skyscrapers, and excellent cocktails for 300 baht. This rooftop is renowned for the quality of its cuisine, mixing Japanese and Peruvian inspirations. Big up to the fantastic cooker and his specialty: the crunchy shrimp maki!

If you are a Salsa lover, you ideally should go on Wednesday night, with happy hours for girls.

For a change, dress code here is less strict than usual, but don’t expect coming with your flip flop neither…
